Introduction

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Videographer and Editor to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is focused on producing high-quality video content for an hunting and safari series, along with supporting content for digital marketing, social media, and brand storytelling.

The successful candidate will have proven experience filming in bush environments and a strong understanding of hunting, wildlife, and outdoor storytelling. They must be comfortable spending periods in the field, travelling regularly, and working in outdoor conditions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Film and produce content for a hunting and safari video series.
  • Capture cinematic footage of hunts, wildlife, landscapes, camp life, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Conduct and record interviews with hunters, professional hunters, outfitters, and industry personalities.
  • Create content suitable for YouTube, social media platforms, websites, and marketing campaigns.
  • Edit long-form episodes and short-form promotional content.
  • Manage footage, data backups, and media organisation.
  • Operate and maintain cameras, audio equipment, drones, and other production gear.
  • Work closely with the marketing and production teams to execute content strategies.
  • Travel regularly to hunting and safari destinations throughout Southern Africa and internationally when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum 3 years' professional videography and editing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience filming and editing hunting, safari, wildlife, or outdoor adventure content.
  • Strong storytelling ability and understanding of narrative-driven content.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent editing software.
  • Experience with professional camera systems, audio equipment, and stabilisation tools.
  • Ability to work independently, think quickly and make creative decisions in the field.
  • Valid driver's licence and passport.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.

 

Advantageous Skills

  • Drone pilot certification and experience.
  • Photography skills.
  • Experience producing YouTube content and video series.
  • Understanding of hunting culture, conservation, and African wildlife.
  • Colour grading and advanced post-production skills.
