Silent Falcon UAS is searching for UAS pilots Located in Egg Harbor NJ who can support the FAA with researching the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) This research involves exploring various aspects of UAS, including testing detection and mitigation systems and investigating their applications in airport environments. The research conducted by ATR commands significant attention due to its visible nature and ever-evolving objectives, which play a critical role in enhancing airport safety and optimizing the National Airspace System (NAS).

 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct UAS flight operations in support of FAA research efforts in a safe and responsible manner.

- Submit FAA airspace authorizations, requests for waivers, and other necessary documentation.

- Coordinate with various stakeholders

- Conduct preflight planning to include assessment of weather conditions, coordination with air traffic control and other relevant entities, briefings, and issuance of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs).

- Ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations and company standard operating procedures.

- Maintain accurate and complete flight logs and records.

- Perform and document minor maintenance/troubleshooting of UAS equipment, as required.

Education and Experience

Must possess a current Part 107 certificate

Bachelor’s degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems or related aviation field preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

- UAS Part 107 license and have a minimum of 100 hours in operating various UAS platforms.

- Require extensive expertise in airport operations, aviation communications, and a comprehensive understanding of the National Airspace System (NAS).

- Proficiency in planning, coordinating, and executing UAS operations within and around airports, encompassing controlled and uncontrolled airspace.

- Possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in obtaining FAA waivers, airspace authorizations, permits, and other necessary approvals.

- Travel to multiple airports across the continental U.S. for approximately two weeks per month.

- High degree of flexibility and availability for frequent travel.

- Must be able to pass FAA background screening

- Valid Driver’s License required
