Your mission
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Pilot (UAV Operator) responsible for conducting test flights for UAV systems, verifying performance, stability, and safety. Works with engineers to diagnose issues, optimize flight parameters, and validate hardware/software integrations.
Responsibilities
  • Piloting UAVs (multicopters + airplane) during test flights.

  • Assembling, maintaining, and preparing drones for flight.

  • Planning and creating flight missions in QGroundControl, modifying flight controller configurations as needed.

  • Developing, configuring, and improving hardware and/or software for UAV testing.

  • Continuously monitoring UAV status and flight conditions to prevent emergency situations.

  • Collaborating closely with the engineering team to respond to unexpected issues and optimize UAV performance.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovations to improve our products and processes

  • Dive deep into the details to identify, understand, and solve difficult technical problems.

  • Constantly be challenging requirements to determine what adds value and what is not.

Qualifications
  • Verified experience as a UAV operator with at least 50 flight hours.

  • Proficiency in using standard electronic tools and soldering.

  • Basic knowledge of electronics.

  • Experience with ArduPilot, Mission Planner, MAVLink, QGroundControl, RFD Tools, and radio telemetry.

  • Intermediate English proficiency (spoken and written).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a strong drive for innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to travel as needed.
