\r\n\tCarolina Agronomy is a small Precision Agriculture company located in Tarboro, NC servicing, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to join our Agricultural Spray Drone team!\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tStarting out, the person selected for this position will assist a licensed drone pilot with the loading of an DJI Agras T40 Spray/Spreading drone during both liquid and dry cover crop spreading applications, but the right candidate will have the opportunity to become a drone pilot and lead a drone crew in the near future. \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tThis position has a great opportunity for growth for someone who shows high levels of motivation and work ethic.\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tNote: This is a job in the Agriculture sector.\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tHours can vary depending on the weather and demand and you will be working outside 90% of the time. During the fall months, the candidate will also assist in soil sampling efforts and Soil Optix soil scanning so you will be exposed to various tools used in the Precision Agriculture industry.\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tSince we cover North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, we will be on the move for most jobs and the occasional overnight stay will be necessary but not always. Overnight stays are dependent on the amount of acres for that job and timeframe in which the job needs to be completed\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tThe ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates good work ethic and wants to learn and be a part of a team that is focused on growth. This is not a typical 9 to 5 job so the ideal candidate will also show that they can be flexible in a fast paced work environment. They can also be trusted to complete assignments with little to no supervision.\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tDuties\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAssist the drone pilot in loading chemical, cover crop seed, and batteries during flight operations\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAct as a "tender trailer manager" ensuring we have plenty of chemical mixed, batteries are charged, and general organization\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAssist soil sampling during the fall months as well as Soil Optix which is a soil scanning service we provide\r\n\t\r\n\t\tOccasional warehouse work during the slow days to help out with our sister company Scout Seed\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tNote\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe right candidate will immediately start learning how to operate a DJI Agras T40/T50 Agricultural Spray drone and will eventually lead a drone crew once they have acquired the proper licensing which Carolina Agronomy will assist with.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tSkills\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe ability to tow and back trailers.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tGood physical shape with the ability to work outside in the heat or cold and lift 50 lbs routinely\r\n\t\r\n\t\tBasic math and computer skills\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAgriculture experience preferred but not required.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tHave a good attitude and show that they want to work and be a part of a close nit team.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tPay\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tFrom $15.00/hr to start but will be increased to $20/hr once they become a licensed drone pilot and crew leader.\r\n\r\n
