CoSolutions is seeking a Photographer/Media Specialist to provide comprehensive photo, video, and multimedia production services in support of the client’s communications, public affairs, and operational documentation needs. This role supports internal and external messaging through high-quality visual storytelling, capturing compelling imagery and producing multimedia products for use across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-resolution still photography and professional video content during official ceremonies, training exercises, press events, and command functions.
  • Conduct studio and on-location photography for command portraits, leadership profiles, awards, and public affairs initiatives.
  • Edit, process, and optimize imagery and video using Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, After Effects).
  • Ensure all photo and video products are captioned and archived per client’s Visual Information (VI) standards.
  • Provide real-time or rapid-turnaround visual content to support media releases and internal command communications.
  • Produce short-form videos and multimedia content for social media, command websites, and information campaigns.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of video projects, including scripting, shooting, editing, and final delivery.
  • Maintain and operate media equipment, such as DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio gear, drones (if certified), and lighting setups.
  • Support the creation of motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, and branding elements for media products.
  • Assist with live-streaming or AV support for ceremonies, briefings, or community outreach events.
  • Maintain equipment inventory, perform regular maintenance, and ensure readiness for operational support.
  • Archive, label, and manage media assets in accordance with client’s file management protocols.
  • Coordinate with Public Affairs Officers (PAOs), command leadership, and event planners to cover mission-critical activities.
  • Ensure OPSEC, ethics, and release standards are followed at all times when capturing and sharing imagery.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in professional photography and videography, preferably in a military, government, or journalism setting.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition).
  • Strong understanding of DoD and Navy public affairs and visual information standards.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • Experience supporting public events, media releases, and social media content development.
  • Familiarity with captioning standards (AP Style and DoD Imagery Transmission formats) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a Public Affairs or multimedia team.
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Ability to travel may be required
