Lead Videographer & Manager

The Lead Videographer & Manager plays a key role in bringing HPUMC’s mission to life through compelling video storytelling. This position is responsible for planning, producing, directing, and editing high-quality video content that reflects the church’s goals, values, and brand standards. Serving as a player-coach, the Lead Videographer & Manager provides day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and creative direction for HPUMC staff videographers.
From sermon series and promotional announcements to special events, member testimonies, and staff stories, this role creates multimedia content that engages and inspires the HPUMC community. The Lead Videographer & Manager works closely with the Director of Communications to shape the creative direction of video projects based on internal communications strategies and plans, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.

The ideal candidate is a skilled filmmaker with a strong creative vision, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead projects from concept to completion with excellence and accountability. This role requires both hands-on production expertise and the ability to manage people, workflows, and deadlines in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Working Hours: Full-time position working at least 36 hours per week
Anticipated Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; evenings and weekends as needed.
During certain times of the year, additional hours and days may be necessary to meet the job’s demands. All church staff are expected to support and serve during religious holidays and worship services, including Christmas Eve and Easter.

Other Qualifications
Must be a committed Christian with a church home, comfortable working in a United Methodist Church, and willing to spend occasional Sundays onsite to understand HPUMC firsthand. Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary. HPUMC employees are called to lead a life that reflects the gospel, and staff are expected to exhibit appropriate demeanor both on and off the job.
