About the Role
Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Drone Pilot role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to to use RPA’s (Remote Piloted Aircraft) to carry out aerial inspections of distribution-level power lines and associated infrastructure, making a real impact.
The successful candidate will work on key responsibilities like:
• Operating RPA’s (Remote Piloted Aircraft) to perform scheduled and emergency inspections of distribution power lines, poles, and related equipment.
• Planning and executing safe drone flights in line with CAA regulations, our company’s Part 102 Exposition, and relevant health and safety procedures.
• Conducting thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks.
• Capturing high-resolution visual and thermal imagery for asset analysis.
• Working alongside engineering and field teams to analyse drone data, identify faults, and support preventative maintenance strategies.
• Maintaining accurate flight logs and ensuring proper data management.
• Coordinating with field crews and network operators to ensure safe flight operations near live electrical assets.
• Travelling to various field locations across the region as required.
Qualifications and Skills
• Valid CAA Part 101 & Part 102 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Class 1 driver’s License.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong computer and IT abilities.
• At least 1–2 years' proven experience operating drones.
• Familiarity with drone software and apps (e.g. DJI Pilot, AirShare).
