Assistant Photographer (Part-Time Hourly)

Do you have a passion for photography and the outdoors?
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is seeking a part-time Assistant Photographer to help us showcase the beauty of South Carolina’s landscapes and wildlife, while also documenting the incredible work of our employees.

This is not your typical desk job. One day you might be filming in the woods, the next you could be capturing wildlife photos along the coast from a boat.

Job duties:

• Photograph our properties, wildlife, and our employees’ projects
• Assist on video productions as a second camera or production assistant.
• Serve as a solo photographer at events, sometimes on night and weekends.
• Support A/V set-up and other production duties as needed.

A bachelor's degree in a related field OR an associate’s degree and two (2) years of relevant professional experience?

What We’re Looking For:

• A love for South Carolina’s natural resources and outdoor recreation.
• Experience in photography and some videography.
• Proficiency in the use of Sony cameras.
• Basic knowledge of editing with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop and Premiere.
• FAA Drone Certification (a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree or actively in pursuit of a degree preferred.
• Driver’s License and good driving record for statewide travel.
