At present we are seeking an Airborne Sensor Operator for our team in Europe.The role will be to operate airborne sensors, organize aerial survey flights and assist in flight planning. You will be conducting aerial data acquisition and decide on data quality. You will monitor weather and on a day-to-day decide where and when to do the survey flights. After each flying mission you will conduct quality check of the data and arrange shipment of the data to the production unit.We are using the latest technologies, and you will be introduced to the top aerial sensors (Topo Lidar, Oblique, Hybrid, bathy Lidar, large format cameras) and will be operating them in our modern air fleet.Role and Purpose of the Position:- Prepare and plan aerial survey flights
- Conduct aerial survey flights
- Do quality checks of the data
- Coordinate with the Pilot the most efficient was of data capture
- Take ownership of technical issues and work with the support teams resolve issues as needed
- Support the Project Manager and production teams
Qualifications/Experience:- You hold relevant educational degree with geo-related, survey or technical/electrical background (i.e. Land Surveyor, Geographer)
- You have knowledge of Computer, GIS, Photogrammetry, Cartography, Surveying and GPS
- It is an advantage if you have experience of (airborne) data acquisition and data handling, however, we will provide thorough training
- You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing
- You can work structured and disciplined in varying environments, even under strict deadlines
- You hold strong analytical, problem solving and data management skills
- You can follow all procedures under pressure
- You have strong communication skills
- You love to travel, to see new exiting places, and not knowing exactly which airport you will start in tomorrow
Travel Requirements:- High amount of travel during the flight season (March to September) is required
