Introduction

If you are immediately availabe, an exciting opportunity exists in Richatds Bay, KZN for a VTOL Drone Pilot with 200 to 500 hours flying time.


Duties & Responsibilities

A brief summary:



  1. ​​​​​​Operate VTOL aircraft efficiently and safely according to company policies and regulations.

  2. Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure all equiomenent is operational and compliant with safety standards.

  3. Navigate complex environments and adapt to dynamic conditions.

  4. Be competent with "Mission Planner".

  5. Conduct effective surveillance of areas flown to prevent crime, react to active crime situations and to assist with real-time situational awareness for active situations unfolding during the operation.

  6. Perform all legally required tasks pertaining to safe drone operations.

  7. Create a safe and healthy work environment while taking into consideration the safety of the people and infrastructure the drone operations aim to protect.


 


Desired Experience & Qualification


  1. A proven track record of flying both, fixed-wing and multirotor UAVs with emphasis on VTOL systems.

  2. Experience in flying large, complex UAVs.

  3. Extensive knowledge of flight control systems including Mission Planner.

  4. Solid knowledge in autopilot tuning, system integration and troubleshooting.

  5. Willingness to work night shifts on a rotational work schedule and share accommodation with fellow colleagues.

  6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  7. Willing to travel and work flexible hours if operation requires it.

  8. RPL Certificate.

  9. BVLOS.

  10. AVSEC

  11. Minimum Grade C PSIRA Certificate.

  12. Clear criminal record.

  13. No drug and/or alcohol abuse.

  14. Medically fit.

  15. Previous aviation experience in security is essential.
