CAPTURE THE STORY OF MISTER SPARKY SOUTH TEXAS

We’re looking for a professional Videographer who knows how to find the story in everyday work.

You’ll be in the field capturing the people, craftsmanship, customers, community, and moments that represent Mister Sparky of South Texas.

Your job is to create high-quality visual assets.

Marketing will take those assets and turn them into campaigns, social content, advertising, television commercials, and other brand communications.

BASE SALARY: $50,000–$60,000

YOUR JOB IS TO CAPTURE THE STORY

You’ll spend your time behind the camera and in the field.

You’ll document what happens across our business and capture footage that gives our marketing team something meaningful to work with.

  • Capture professional photo and video content throughout South Texas

  • Document electricians performing residential electrical work

  • Capture action shots, job-site footage, and behind-the-scenes moments

  • Capture customer interactions and customer experiences

  • Capture employee stories, team culture, and company events

  • Document community involvement and local events

  • Capture interviews, testimonials, and supporting B-roll

  • Capture footage for future television commercials and broadcast advertising

  • Capture content that demonstrates our commitment to craftsmanship and customer service

  • Identify interesting moments and visual opportunities while in the field

  • Work with leadership and Marketing to understand what stories need to be captured

  • Maintain organized photo and video files

  • Deliver high-quality footage and photography to the Marketing team

WHAT YOU WON’T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

This is a content capture role, not a social media management position.

Marketing owns the message and distribution.

You focus on getting the footage.

  • No social media management

  • No social media posting

  • No content calendar management

  • No social media strategy

  • No copywriting

  • No community management

  • No responsibility for marketing analytics

  • No responsibility for campaign management

You capture the story. Marketing tells it.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You don’t need to be a marketing strategist.

You need to be an excellent visual storyteller with the technical ability to consistently capture professional content.

  • 2+ years of professional videography, photography, or related production experience

  • Strong understanding of camera operation, composition, lighting, and audio

  • Ability to capture compelling action and candid moments

  • Ability to work comfortably around electricians and customers in active job-site environments

  • Strong eye for composition and visual storytelling

  • Ability to anticipate moments rather than simply record them

  • Experience capturing interviews and testimonials

  • Experience with professional cameras and supporting equipment

  • Knowledge of professional audio and lighting equipment

  • Ability to work with handheld, tripod, gimbal, or other stabilization equipment

  • Ability to capture both vertical and horizontal footage

  • Strong organizational skills for managing photo and video assets

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout South Texas

  • Professional communication skills

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong photo and video work

EXPERIENCE WITH THESE IS A PLUS

  • Commercial video production

  • Television or broadcast production

  • Documentary-style storytelling

  • Corporate video

  • Construction, trades, home services, or field-service environments

  • Drone photography or videography

  • Professional interviews and testimonials

  • Multi-camera production

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
