Location: Epping, Essex (with global travel)
Salary: £25k - £50k (depending on experience)

Our work spans major sports events, including Premier League and Champions League football, horse racing, rugby, and more. We partner with top broadcasters like Sky, BBC, ITV, and DAZN, as well as working on commercials and dramas across the globe.

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy UAV Drone Pilot/Operator to join our team. Based in Essex, this role offers the chance to travel the world and work on top-tier live sporting events. You'll start by learning our equipment in the office, moving onto live events as your skills develop, with the goal of becoming a fully qualified drone pilot.

What We’re Looking For
A confident, self-starter with a passion for tech, drones, and aerial filming. If you have experience flying RC drones or helicopters, and love problem-solving, this is the perfect opportunity to combine your skills with a love of sports and travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and maintain UAV and broadcast equipment
  • Assist in preparing kit for events
  • Operate UAVs during live sports broadcasts
  • Travel to global events and ensure aerial footage quality
  • Work closely with the camera and broadcast teams
  • Develop skills in UAV technology and filming

MUST-Have Skills

  • Experience with RC vehicles (drones, helicopters, etc.)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be over 21 (due to insurance requirements)

NICE-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Freefly systems aircraft
  • Knowledge of Pixhawk flight controllers
  • FPV drone experience
  • GVC qualification
  • Soldering skills

Typical Schedule
Flexibility is key due to the dynamic nature of broadcast schedules. A typical week might include:

  • Monday: Office
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: Days off
  • Thursday: Office
  • Friday: Travel
  • Saturday & Sunday: Event work
