What you’ll be responsible for

We've got an exciting new role available for an ambitious Drone Pilot to join our growing Aerial Services team that supports the business by providing services through the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), also known as drones. You'll be part of our country-wide deployment team providing drone inspection, survey, and response services on a range of tasks such as asset surveys, building inspections and working with operations for incident support.

The UAV Drone Pilot will be the supervisor for each UAV operation they are tasked with, and sometimes this can involve the delegation to an observer and clear instructions for any present site staff.  Sometimes, you will be operating by yourself, with complete control over site setup and safe operations. It's a fast-paced and exciting role, but our work is rewarding.

When you are not flying, you'll be working from home/office planning tasks, organising and processing data, building on new procedures and finding innovative new ways and new technology to carry out bespoke tasks, and liaising with all operational departments to provide more efficient deliverables to aid them with they’re job requirements.

•    Planning each flight in advance and ensuring the right resources are available when required. Ensuring that the welfare of themselves or others is not compromised by any planned operations.
•    Operating the aircraft within the stated limitations for that aircraft.
•    Completing all required paperwork such as pilot & aircraft hours, battery log etc. after a flight.
•    Staying abreast of all regulatory changes from the UK CAA and ensuring all operations can be made compliantly with our Operational Authorisation.
