Purpose of the Position:
The UAS and Counter UAS Range Facilities Operations Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and operational readiness of test range facilities and equipment. This role ensures that all systems are functioning optimally to support testing operations, while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
Duties/Responsibilities
Maintain the UAS and Counter UAS Range Facility
Maintain the configuration of the UAS and Counter UAS Range
Conduct yard services including weed eating over the entire range
Support customer facility needs such as computational equipment, tents, etc.
Arrange the setup and tear down of UAS and Counter UAS Range test equipment to support testing.
Coordinate and conduct trash disposal
Support conduct of onsite tours for potential customers
Conduct janitorial services at the Mission Control Site
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree or 2 years college coursework or equivalent experience with 5 to 8 years of full-time work experience.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor.
Comfortable working in outdoor environments and inclement weather.
Experience in maintenance, repair, or operations in a similar environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with forklifts and generators.
Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
U.S. Citizenship Required
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in an engineering, scientific, technician & maintenance, or aviation management field
Published Salary (if available):
$60,000 - $75,000
