JOB SUMMARY
 
The Photographer & Videographer plays a key role in advancing the mission and brand of ACHE by producing high-quality visual content in a fast-paced environment. This position focuses on creating professional, brand-forward photography and video with commercial polish ranging from marketing campaigns and promotional materials to storytelling content that highlights our people, programs, and campus.
This position requires versatility and creativity to deliver a wide range of projects from professional headshots and staged shoots to aerial drone work, live event coverage and polished videos such as hype reels, promotional campaigns, and testimonial stories. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, can balance multiple projects at once, and consistently delivers compelling, on-brand visuals that engage audiences across platforms.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Capture and produce a high volume of photography and video content, including professional portraits, staged brand shoots, architectural building shots of campus, candid student moments, live events, aerial drone footage, and more to support marketing, communications, and institutional initiatives.
  • Create video content across formats—from short-form social reels to long-form storytelling pieces such as hype reels, promotional campaigns, and testimonial stories.
  • Edit and enhance photo and video projects using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom), culling software as well as platforms such as Artlist and Motion Array.
  • Operate professional camera, lighting, audio, and drone equipment with technical proficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team—including director, graphic designers, and social media specialists—to concept, produce, and deliver impactful visual content.
  • Ensure all visual content aligns with brand standards, messaging, and strategic goals.
  • Manage projects with tight deadlines and quick turnarounds while maintaining high creative and technical standards.
  • Coordinate all aspects of photo and video shoots, from pre-production planning through final delivery and managing file storage.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing or their designee
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
 
Education and Experience
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in both photography and videography in a professional or corporate setting, with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across commercial photography, event coverage, and video production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom), with advanced editing and motion graphics skills to create engaging, polished content.
  • Experience producing video-driven content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (preferred) or ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
  • Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; adaptable, collaborative, and able to work effectively across a diverse organization.
  • Proficient in both Mac (Apple) and Microsoft systems, including standard applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in social media marketing

  • May be required to transport oneself to other campus offices, conference rooms, and on occasion, to off-campus sites to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.
  • May require significant travel or work away from campus.
  • Requires attendance at events representing ACHE both within as well as outside of the college setting.
  • Frequently required to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
  • Frequently required to see for purposes of reading matter.
  • Frequently required to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
  • Occasionally required to lift items in a normal office environment.
  • Frequently required to operate office and presentation equipment.
