Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Part 107 Drone Pilot to join our team for an upcoming project in Northern California. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in capturing high-quality images of utility poles, contributing to the success of our project. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent piloting skills, and the ability to follow specific capture profiles. The role requires strict adherence to the capture profile process, and the training and launch will follow a 'crawl, walk, run' strategy, gradually increasing the number of poles captured per day.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate drones to capture images of utility poles in Northern California.
· Capture images of ground components of utility poles.
· Adhere to the project’s capture profile process to ensure accurate and organized data collection.
· Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections of drone equipment.
· Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations and company safety protocols.
· Collaborate with team members to achieve daily capture targets.
· Maintain detailed records of flight operations and data collected.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during flights.
· Move efficiently to the next pole to be captured
Qualifications:
· Must hold a current Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
· Proven experience in operating drones for commercial purposes.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Understanding of FAA regulations and airspace requirements.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
· Capability to remain active and mobile for extended durations, efficiently transitioning between pole inspection sites. Ability to work outdoors and navigate various terrains.
· Previous experience in field surveying or a related field is preferred but not required.
· Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.

· Experience in capturing images for utility or infrastructure projects.
· Proficiency in using drone flight planning software.
