Job Description
We are looking for a licensed Drone Pilot to join our team and conduct inspections of roofing and other exteriors on large apartment complexes nationwide. Your primary role will be to document property conditions, identify deficiencies, and capture high-quality data using drone technology. This position is ideal for a self-starter with strong attention to detail, a passion for excellence, and the ability to work independently.









Key Responsibilities
  • Drone Inspections: Conduct comprehensive inspections of roofs and building exteriors to identify damage and potential issues.
  • Data Capture: Document and capture high-quality visual data to support detailed inspection reports.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with the office service team and clients to ensure all inspection requirements are met.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and operate drone equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to FAA and company regulations.
  • Travel: Travel across the U.S. up to 90% of the time, typically working two weeks on-site followed by 2-3 days at home.
  • Technology Updates: Stay informed about advancements in drone technology and inspection best practices.

Qualifications
  • FAA Certification: Valid Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a drone pilot; experience in roofing or exterior contracting inspections is beneficial but not required.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel nationwide for up to 90% of the role.
  • Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and client interaction.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with drone flight planning and data collection software.

Preferred Skills
  • Background in roofing, siding, or exterior contracting.
  • Experience in aerial photography and videography.
  • Interest in advancing to a leadership role to manage a team of drone pilots in the future.
