About The Role

Toll Uncrewed Systems, part of Toll Aviation, is one of Australias leading providers of drone training and operations. Our Brisbane based team is looking for a new Uncrewed Systems trainer. Our team is a group of professionals, who work across a multitude of environments and situations.

The Uncrewed Systems Trainer will be responsible for the effective management, coordination and delivery of Uncrewed Systems Training to the general public and corporate clients as required across Australia.

Domestic travel will be required at time to successfully perform this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance training materials as directed by management
  • Monitor student progress through their training and assist as required
  • Identify discrepancies or areas requiring update in existing course materials, assessment items, lesson plans and resources in accordance with the organisations continuous improvement process
  • Design, develop and assist in the implementation of operational updates, resources and materials for revised, new courses or scope being amended or added to the ReOC in accordance with the CASA’s CASR, CAO’s ad MOS requirements along with supporting the Chief Pilot in maintaining the organisations ReOC, Manuals, Library and respective company documentation
  • Comply with the companies ReOC and applicable CASA Acts, Regulations and Standards
  • Carry out and complete company pre & post flight documentation, operational uncrewed mission planning and operations flight duties in accordance with the ReOC and CASA RePL approvals and ratings as directed by the CRP Uncrewed systems
  • Consult to other parties on their training and operational needs and assist them develop their internal processes, procedures and ReOC requirements
  • Provide quality feedback and guidance to students in accordance with the organisations policy and procedures

Skills And Experience

  • Subject matter excellence in CASA Part 101 Civil Aviation Safety Regulations and Manual of Standards
  • Remote Pilot licence and subsequent courses and endorsements as required
  • Subject matter excellence in drone tyes and specialist equipment used by the business
  • Advanced use of the MS Office Suite in programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Publisher, Visio &/or Access
  • Customer service orientation - detailed understanding and strong curiosity about our customers and what adds value to them
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to resolve conflict to a positive, business value-added outcome
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective support and rapport with personnel at all levels
  • Highly motivated with strong organisational & time management skills
  • Able to prioritise and work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines

Qualifications

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred)
  • Relevant CASA qualifications or endorsements for courses being delivered. Minimum
    • CASA Sub 7kg RePL
    • CASA Sub 25kg Multi-Rotor
    • Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
    • CASA Sub 25kg VTOL (preferred)
    • CASA Sub 150kg Multi-Rotor (T40/T50 Agras) (preferred)
