Graphic Designer and Videographer

Moorings Park Communities is seeking a talented Graphic Designer / Videographer to join our newly established Communications Department.
This is not a traditional production-design role.
We're looking for a creative storyteller who can bring our people, culture, residents, leadership, and brand to life through exceptional design, photography, video, and multimedia content.
One day you may be photographing a resident whose life story inspires an entire community. The next, producing a leadership video, designing a resident magazine, creating social media content, or developing visual communications for executive presentations.
You'll help tell the stories behind one of the nation's premier retirement communities while shaping how thousands of residents, partners, families, and community members experience our brand.
What You'll Do
- Design publications, newsletters, presentations, brochures, signage, and digital communications.
- Photograph residents, events, lifestyle experiences, architecture, and organizational milestones.
- Produce and edit compelling video content, including resident stories, executive messaging, interviews, testimonials, community events, and social media content.
- Collaborate with writers, leaders, and departmental partners to develop visual storytelling concepts.
- Create content for social media, email, websites, presentations, and internal communications.
- Help manage and grow our photography and video asset library.
- Use Generative AI and emerging creative tools to improve efficiency and expand creative possibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Three or more years of graphic design and video production experience.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and storytelling ability.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
- Photography and videography experience.
- Strong visual judgment and exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience creating content for both digital and print channels.
Bonus Points For
- Hospitality, luxury, healthcare, lifestyle, real estate, nonprofit, or agency experience.
- Drone photography or videography experience.
- Motion graphics experience.
- Experience creating content for executive communications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Film/Video Production, Communications, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in graphic design, videography, and multimedia content production across print and digital channels preferred.
- Strong professional portfolio and video reel demonstrating conceptual thinking, sophisticated visual judgment, storytelling, technical proficiency, and polished execution across design, photography, and video formats.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret creative direction and communications strategy, develop visual concepts, and carry projects from initial idea through production and delivery with a high degree of independence.
- Experience within a brand-driven marketing, advertising, agency, hospitality, lifestyle, luxury, real estate, healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or similarly design-conscious environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects, Audition, or comparable motion-graphics and audio-editing tools strongly preferred.
- Strong command of typography, composition, hierarchy, color, imagery, and other principles of sophisticated visual design.
- Demonstrated conceptual creativity and ability to develop original visual approaches rather than relying solely on predetermined templates or detailed direction.
- Strong aesthetic judgment and ability to recognize and create imagery and design that feels authentic, editorial, polished, and appropriate for a premium brand.
- Ability to translate a single communications concept or story into cohesive executions across print, digital, social, photography, video, and multimedia channels.
- Strong working knowledge of print, digital, and video production requirements, including file preparation, resolution, bleed, trim, color modes, image optimization, aspect ratios, codecs, audio levels, captioning, and platform-specific delivery specifications.
- Experience with, or demonstrated aptitude for learning, Generative AI and emerging creative technologies, including effective prompting and critical evaluation of AI-generated outputs for realism, quality, and brand appropriateness.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and production discipline, with the ability to independently manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to present creative thinking, explain design recommendations, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Familiarity with project-management and collaborative workflow platforms such as Monday.com or comparable systems.
- Familiarity with Digital Asset Management platforms such as Air, Brandfolder, Bynder, or comparable systems.
- General understanding of digital marketing principles and how visual creative contributes to engagement, response, and campaign performance; familiarity with basic HTML and CSS preferred.
- Experience producing documentary-style interviews, testimonials, leadership messages, and event coverage in a brand or corporate communications environment preferred.
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, title design, branded video templates, and platform-specific short-form content preferred.
- Advanced photography experience, including environmental portraits, architecture, events, and lifestyle imagery, preferred.
- Experience leading efficient on-location productions, including camera operation, lighting, stabilization, professional audio, interview direction, release coordination, and respectful interaction with residents and partners, preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to interact with partners, residents, guests, and team members in a professional manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
