Drone Pilot

Unitrans is seeking to employ an experienced Drone Pilot in our Agricultural division. The Drone Pilot is responsible for operating a drone, controls a drone, takes it off, keeps on course, performs mission, and lands safely. Also, the Drone Pilot conducts safety tests, oversees vehicle performance and assess drone systems' capabilities.

Operate the drones

• Analyze weather forecasts to ensure
• Plan the drone flight routes
• Check drone before a flight to ensure safe and proper operation
• Document pre and post flight logs
• Monitor drones during the flight
• Navigate the drones along the designated paths
• Fly the drone over the specific field to gather date, spray fields with seeds, fertilizers, or pesticides
• Fly over fields to map, study the fields or area.
• Daily checks on equipment and ensure quality of drone work
• Ensures compliance with flight regulations
• Process and upload data
• Upload the data gathered with the drone to the system
• Analyse the data accordingly

Housekeeping

• Ensure ground crew clean the drone and change the batteries correctly
• Troubleshoot equipment issues
• Drone Maintenance

Implement and manage key relations

• Ensure and maintain ongoing exceptional relationships with the customers

• Must be a Tanzanian Citizen
• Must be a Licensed remote pilot
• Minimum of 2 year's experience flying a drone for aerial mapping and surveying
• Must have achieved English Language Proficiency
• Must be able to lift up to 20kg
• Must possess a valid travel passport
• Must have completed secondary school education (Form Four or above; a pass on Geography will be an added advantage)
• Ability to work independently and under pressure (Problem solving skills required)
