*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drone Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating sUAS systems for various applications, including mapping, emissions monitoring, and inspections. Familiarity with sUAS systems, payload capabilities, flight planning and execution software are a plus. This role requires a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and the ability to work with advanced drone technology. The Drone Operator will collaborate with other team members to ensure successful project execution while adhering to safety protocols. This position will require an independent worker to service rural sites near Greeley (mostly Weld County) and with that will require someone with the ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and have consideration for land owners of and near such sites.
*Duties*
- Operate drones for capturing high-quality aerial images and videos for various projects.
- Conduct pre-flight checks and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations during all operations.
-Maintain records and logs in an orderly manner.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand specific requirements and objectives.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data collection and analysis.
- Perform routine maintenance on drones and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.
- Document flight logs and maintain accurate records of operations.
- Stay updated on advancements in drone technology and industry best practices.
*Skills*
- Proficient in aviate techniques and safe drone operation.
- Strong photography skills, particularly in aerial imaging.
- Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations governing drone operations.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and data analysis.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in film production or related fields is a plus.
*Other*
- Looking for someone who resides in Northern Colorado to service sites near Greeley.
- Company car will be provided.
- Must pass a drug test and will be randomly drug tested throughout duration of employment.
- Willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Trello, Power BI, Asana, Google Earth, ArcGIS, Pix4D/DroneDeploy, and similar apps is a plus.
-Background in digital twins, data capture, laser scanning, surveying are all a plus.
-The ability to work independently and reliably is a must!
-Must be able to pass a drug test both at the time of hire. This position is also subject to random testing at any time.

Monday through Friday with some weekends through the year. Most days are roughly 6:30 to 2:30 with longer days on occasion.
Additionally, the ability to drive safely and respectfully in rural areas is imperative. This job involves a significant amount of driving--largely in Weld County. The ability to engage respectfully with the public in this area is imperative.
