We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Industrial Engineer & UAV Pilot to join our field testing and prototyping team. This role combines drone piloting, mechanical/electronic engineering, and practical workshop skills, all critical to validating and improving our UAV systems in real-world conditions.
You will operate drones in manual (Acro) and assisted modes, run structured tests, flash and configure embedded systems, perform hardware repairs, and support mechanical design through CAD and 3D printing. Your technical insight and discipline will directly impact on our product development cycles and mission readiness.
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine (On-site – Full-time)
• Pilot UAVs confidently in manual mode to test control and emergency recovery behavior
• Execute rigorous flight tests and communicate results clearly to engineering teams to log results with precision and consistency
• Understand the drone’s integrated subsystems, their functions, dependencies, and interactions
• Assemble, disassemble, solder, repair and maintain UAV hardware
• Flash and configure flight control units (FMUs - quitar) and other drone components
• Use flight control assistants for calibration, tuning, and mission setup
• Design and iterate 3D parts using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
• Operate 3D printers and workshop tools with confidence and safety
Requirements
• Strong piloting skills, including manual mode flight experience
• Solid understanding of electronics and mechanical systems
• Ability to work with embedded systems: flashing firmware, debugging, hardware setup
• Experience with flight control assistants or similar ground station tools
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software (and ability to migrate if needed)
• Familiarity with 3D printing workflows
• Competence with hand tools, soldering, and general workshop equipment
• Basic understanding of embedded code and system-level integration
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Meticulous, structured, and reliable in test execution and reporting
