Bridgeway Aerial are expanding their UAS operations and are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and diligent individual to join the team in an entry level position. This is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary role which will draw on a number of skillsets of the successful candidate. In brief, the role will entail the following, with training and mentoring available throughout:


UAS operation.


Data Processing.


Preparation & Maintenance


Much of our work takes place on or around the UK rail network. Full training will be provided to allow the successful candidate to work in that environment.


Essential skills & requirements


  • UAS operational experience (a current GVC would be beneficial)

  • Flight hours demonstratable via Pilot Logbook (preferably on DJI platforms)

  • Technical understanding of UAV platforms, sensors, and strategies for optimal data capture

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, and proficient IT capabilities

  • Well-organised, enthusiastic, with the ability to work proactively to resolve problems and/or build knowledge

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills quickly

  • Physically able to (occasionally) cover large distances on foot and handle heavy items of equipment

  • Manual driving license & ability to travel and stay away regularly across the UK

  • Safety-first attitude

  • Desirable (but not essential)


  • UAS data capture, particularly for the purpose of survey and inspection projects

  • Railway experience/competency (e.g. PTS)

  • Core data processing (photogrammetry & LiDAR)

  • Aircraft fleet management and upkeep of maintenance schedules

  • Report writing
