Aerial Sensor Operator- Assistant Lead

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Aerial Sensor Operator-  Assistant Lead to join our team. This hybrid role combines leadership, data logging/analysis and field operations responsibilities.

Location

• Remote basing may be considered for the right candidate
• Includes remote field deployments across the United States (up to 50% travel)

• Aid with scheduling field crew deployments
• Log post-flight data and generate flight plans for dissemination to Pilots and Sensor Operators
• Track and manage sensor equipment, aircraft parts, and other assets
• Assist in developing and improving performance tracking systems
• Support facilities management and light shipping/receiving duties
• Conduct technical data review and quality control (QA/QC)

Field Operations

• Operate airborne digital camera systems during flight missions
• Monitor navigation equipment to ensure proper tracking and altitude
• Download, process, and ship imagery data post-flight
• Maintain flight logs, daily reports, and mission documentation
• Assist with installation, removal, and repair of airborne camera equipment
• Contribute to flight survey planning and support pilots during missions
• Travel occasionally for deployments, including weekends and holidays

• Hybrid office and work-from-home
• Some work in warehouse and aircraft hangars installing or troubleshooting survey equipment
• On the road for field deployments
